Bryce Harper will make his season debut for the Philadelphia Phillies on Tuesday when they visit the Los Angeles Dodgers for the second of a three-game series. The first pitch is scheduled for 10:10 PM ET from Dodger Stadium. Harper is just five months away from reconstructive surgery on his elbow, known as Tommy John surgery, and his return comes at least two months sooner than expected. The 30-year-old slugger was expected to be out at least until July, but his recovery was progressing quickly and he was medically cleared to join the lineup on Tuesday. The Dodgers are -160 betting favorites (risk $160 to win $100), while the Phillies return a +135 prize in Caesars Sportsbook’s latest MLB odds. The over/under for the total number of points scored is 8.

The game is one of 14 on Tuesday’s MLB schedule. Elsewhere in the majors, the Colorado Rockies (9-20) host the Milwaukee Brewers (18-10) and the San Diego Padres (16-14) host the Cincinnati Reds (12-17). Be sure to check out MLB predictions and betting advice from SportsLine’s time-tested computer simulation model.

The SportsLine projection model simulates every MLB game 10,000 times. It went 331-285 on top-rated MLB moneyline picks (+357) over the past two seasons, and it’s on a 28-22 run stretching back to the end of last season. Anyone who has followed it has seen profitable returns.

For Tuesday, the model has made three confident MLB best bets for games starting at 7:10 PM ET or later. If you successfully parlay the picks, you would be looking at a payout of almost 9-1. You can only see the model’s MLB picks at SportsLine.

After simulating every game 10,000 times on Tuesday, the model chooses the Texas Rangers (+135) to get past the Arizona Diamondbacks (-160). The model sees Texas (17-11) win this game against Arizona (16-13) in a whopping 58% of simulations, providing tremendous value for a plus money return. Arizona starter Zac Gallen (4-1, 2.15) has a 28-inning scoreless streak going into Tuesday’s start against Texas, which largely explains why the Diamondbacks are favored. But the right-hander will likely have a hard time keeping that streak alive against the rising Rangers, who have three straight wins against the New York Yankees as they watch their offense heat up in the process.

The Rangers had one of the most impressive offensive performances in MLB so far this season in their 15-2 victory over the Yankees on Sunday. The 15 runs were the most runs scored against New York since 2019. Josh Jung hit a grand slam in the first inning and two other players homered for the Rangers, whose 178 runs scored second in the majors heading into Tuesday’s action .
