The NFL offseason is heating up again with the 2023 NFL Draft just days away, thanks to Aaron Rodgers be traded from the Green Bay Packers to the New York Jets on Monday. The move shook up both the league and the list of Super Bowl LVIII contenders.

As you might expect, the Kansas City Chiefs, fresh off their Super Bowl LVII victory over the Philadelphia Eagles, have the best odds of winning it all again with +600. Each team in the top five saw their odds increase as the Jets’ odds took flight with the addition of a future Hall of Famer in Rodgers. They started the off-season with +3500, tied for the 10th best ranking, but they’ve since moved up to sixth place with +1400 Monday ranking. The only teams with smaller odds than the Jets are the defending champion Chiefs (+600), the NFC runner-up San Francisco 49ers (+700), the NFC champion Philadelphia Eagles (+850), and Josh Allen’s Buffalo Bills (+ 850).

Here’s a full breakdown of every team’s chances of winning Super Bowl LVIII next season, from the Chiefs and 49ers at the top to the Texans at the bottom.

The Jets get up with the addition of Rodgers, but when Super Bowl-winning quarterbacks like him are traded by the team they made it to the mountaintop with, they usually don’t make it back to the big game. Time will tell if New York can defy history.
