Earlier today, Khan – in his first speech since his release – said: “I was not aware of everything that happened after I was arrested. So yesterday and today I was gathering facts.”
He insisted that his party operatives were not involved in the incidents and urged authorities to launch an independent investigation to get to the bottom of the truth.

When asked how he found out that Khan did not have a TV facility, the lawyer – after a short pause – said: “I live in this city … We are finding ways to connect.”
The PTI chairman was arrested on May 9 by Rangers personnel of the Islamabad High Court (IHC), acting on the orders of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
“When I spoke to him, he said, ‘I will not ask for any provision,'” the PTI lawyer revealed.
It is pertinent to mention here that Khan had told the Supreme Court on May 11 that his mobile phone had been taken away and that he did not know what was happening in the country.
Earlier, an audio leak allegedly showing him surfaced, in which Khan could be heard ordering his party to challenge his arrest in the highest court.
The lawyer said the PTI chairman had not met anyone from the establishment while in custody.
Awan said the “interrogation was conducted solely by NAB”.
