Liverpool has a 3-game streak of home wins, Arsenal a 3-game streak of away wins – but one of these streaks is about to end. Liverpool will take to the road for their third game in a row at Anfield on April 9 at 11:30am ET. Bragging rights belong to them for now as they have won six of their last eight games against Arsenal.
Liverpool have not won a game since March 11, a trend that continued on Tuesday. Neither they nor Chelsea could get the upper hand, so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw.
Meanwhile, Arsenal have to get used to good results now that the side has seven wins in a row. With a sharp 4-1 defeat on Saturday, they put the pain at Leeds United. For those of you keeping count, this is Arsenal’s seventh punch of the season.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the win, Arsenal left the game with possession for 62% of the minutes played. They are 7-1-1 if they refuse to give up the ball.
Liverpool couldn’t quite finish Arsenal in their previous match last October, falling 3-2. Will Liverpool be luckier at home than on the road? Watch the game or check back on CBS Sports to find out.
