Tired of staring at WhatsApp on your phone screen? There is a solution for that.

WhatsApp, one of the most popular messaging apps in the world, is great for keeping in touch with friends and family. But phone screens are small while desktop and tablet screens are big. Therein lies the dilemma. Fortunately, you can now link multiple devices to the same WhatsApp account. In fact, your phone no longer needs to be connected to the internet to use WhatsApp on a laptop or tablet.

This is how it works.

WhatsApp lets you save disappearing messages (with a catch)

Link devices in WhatsApp

What you need

  • smartphone

  • desktop

  • Laptop

  • or tablets

Step 1:
Open WhatsApp on the device you want to link, either through the browser site or the desktop app. You should see a few simple prompts and more importantly a large QR code.

Step 2:
Now open WhatsApp on your iOS or Android smartphone. Navigate to the app’s settings menu and tap “Paired devices.”

Step 3:
From there, tap “Pair a device.”

Step 4:
Point your phone’s camera at the QR code on the other device’s screen.

And voila! You have enabled WhatsApp usage on your computer or tablet. You can still use it on your phone, of course, but now you can log in on that other device whenever you want. Just navigate back to that “Linked Devices” menu if you also want to track devices you’ve linked to your account.

Isn’t that big screen much better?
