Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar addresses the 78th UN General Assembly session in New York today (Friday).
In his maiden address at the UNGA session, he said: “Pakistan welcomes the progress made towards ending the conflicts in Syria and Yemen.” In particular, he maintained that they warmly welcomed the normalization of relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran.
Two-state solution
“Unfortunately, the tragedy of Palestine continues, with Israeli military raids, air strikes, expansion of settlements and eviction of Palestinians” he said.
Durable peace can be established only through a two-state solution, he clarified.
Strongly condemning the assassination of Khalistani leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar by “Indian agents” on the soil of Canada, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar on Friday said that they would raise the issue on different forums to expose the real face of New Delhi.
