
A three-member Supreme Court justice has begun hearing for a petition calling for simultaneous Supreme Court elections across the country.
The three-member bench hearing the plea consists of Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Umar Ata Bandial – who heads – Justice Ijaz Ul Ahsan and Justice Munib Akhtar.
Earlier, a citizen – Sardar Kashif Khan – nominated the federal government, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and major political parties as respondents.
