Exactly one year after his birth, Rihanna and A$AP Rocky finally share their son’s name: RZA. To celebrate the toddler’s first birthday on May 13, Rocky shared an Instagram post with several intimate family photos. In his caption, Rocky confirmed recent reports that the child was named after the Wu-Tang Clan artist of the same name. “WU TANG IZ 4 DA CHUREN,” he wrote. “HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY TO MY 1st BORN. RZA.” A birth certificate previously obtained by People revealed that the full name is RZA Athelston Mayers. The middle name is similar to Rocky’s, whose full name is Rakim Athelaston Mayers.

While she tends to be tight-lipped about her personal life and upcoming album, Rihanna seemed to hint at her firstborn’s name as she wore an RZA t-shirt while in New York in August 2022. York City was, just a few months after welcoming her son. The rapper – born Robert Fitzgerald Diggs – is hugely influential in hip-hop and has also scored several films, including the “Kill Bill” franchise.

Rihanna and Rocky welcomed their son on May 13, 2022 after about two years of dating and many years of friendship. The couple is currently expecting their second child, and Rihanna famously revealed the news during her Super Bowl halftime show appearance in February.
