The producer also pointed out that sympathy doesn’t always work after Shahakuntalam’s box office failure.
In a recent interview with Filmy Looks, the producer slammed Samantha, claiming that her “star heroine” career has ended. He added that Samantha did the Oo Antava song in Pushpa The Rise after her divorce. She did it for her living. “She loses star heroine status and does what she gets. Her career as a heroine has come to an end and she cannot return to stardom. She must continue her journey with the offers she receives,”
Chitti Babu also said sympathy for Yashoda worked but not now as Shaakuntalam failed to impress at the box office. During Yashoda promotions, she cried at promotions and tried to score a hit. With Shaakuntalam ahead, she did the same to gain sympathy saying that she intended to play the role before she dies stating that she couldn’t speak as she couldn’t get her voice out of her throat.
