Sarah Snook just revealed that she welcomed her first baby while celebrating the “Succession” finale

While we won’t be seeing Shiv Roy’s baby come into the world, a very special member of the “Succession” family has arrived — and mom Sarah Snook just shared the news in a subtle and sweet way. Snook revealed that she gave birth to her first child on May 28 as she celebrated the dramatic conclusion to the hit HBO series.

In addition to a lengthy post about the series finale, Snook posted a picture of the top of the baby’s head on Instagram on May 29. Snook, who shares the child with husband Dave Lawson, revealed her pregnancy during the season four premiere of “Succession.” in March. At the time, she told reporters she had about “two months” left. Snook’s pregnancy was written into the show, when her character Shiv learned she was expecting a baby with her on-again-off-again husband Tom Wambsgans.

In her Instagram post, Snook said it’s “hard to express what this show has meant to me.” She wrote: “To be blessed to take part in this crazy adventure of a show will be a career highlight that will no doubt be hard to top. I am so, so proud and humbled by everyone’s hard work season after season: we’re all ready to set the bar for each other, then outperform and excel, in every department.The friendships, the scripts, the locations, the one-liners, the early mornings, the last minute changes, all the highs and lows : I’m going to miss it all.” Finally, she added, “I just watched the last episode of the last season of something that changed my life. And now my life has changed again. Thank you for all the love and support.”

While Roy’s siblings were ultimately barred from Waystar Royco’s top seat, Snook clearly has a lot to celebrate in her own new role.
