Serena Williams revealed she’s expecting her second child at the 2023 Met Gala, and now she’s showing off her belly. On May 2, Williams shared a post on Instagram of herself decked out in Gucci, posing next to her husband, Alexis Ohanian. “I plan to be classy this time,” she wrote. Ohanian also shared a similar photo on May 4, writing, “Mama & Papa.”
Williams broke the news of her second pregnancy while on the red carpet at the fashion event, telling reporters that “three” people attended her and Ohanian’s night out. “I feel good now. I can breathe,” she said. “I can stop hiding.” The next day, she shared an Instagram photo of herself dressed in her Gucci dress. “Was so excited when Anna Wintour invited the three of us to the Met Gala,” she captioned the post.
Williams and Ohanian got engaged in 2016 and welcomed their first child, Olympia, in September 2017. They then got married in November of that year. Since then, Williams and Ohanian have both regularly shown their love for their daughter. In March, Ohanian took Olympia to dinner on a sweet father-daughter date. In December 2022, Williams threw a “Moana” themed birthday party for Olympia, and that year she received a real pony from her parents for Christmas. It is clear that the second baby of the family will be born in a lot of love.
