Shah Rukh Khan closes August 25 for Jawan; Announcing the release date of Atlee’s directing is expected today

Shah Rukh Khan directed Jawan, directed by Atlee Kumar and starring Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara and Deepika Padukone among others, was set to hit theaters on 2 June 2023. Due to delays in the film’s post-production, Shah Rukh Khan has decided to postpone his film from June 2 to August 25. Jawan is now out on August 25 and an announcement for it is on the way.

Jawan marks Shah Rukh Khan and Atlee Kumar’s first collaboration

Jawan is Shah Rukh Khan’s direct follow-up to Pathaan, the biggest hit of the year so far. Pathaan made about Rs 1050 crores at the global box office earlier this year and Jawan’s expectations are just as high. High expectations are also placed on Atlee Kumar, who has a cent percent hit ratio when it comes to directing in films, with his latest film Bigil grossing over 300 crores worldwide.

Jawan’s postponement is due to a delay in the film’s post-production

The germ of the idea came back in 2019 and the film moved to photography in 2021. The shooting of the film officially ended in April 2023 and the post-production work is now going full steam ahead with both Indian and International studios. on the visual effects of the film. Shah Rukh Khan plays the role of a father and a son in this Atlee Kumar directorial pitched as a mega VFX action movie. He’ll show off a lot of different looks and overall Jawan just seems like a really exciting movie to watch.
