The future looks bright for those looking to get their hands on a great TV in 2023 at a hefty discount. While a new batch of new models was announced at CES 2023, it could be a while before any of them arrive and receive significant discounts. You don’t have to wait to snag a great deal on a mid- or high-end TV from LG, TCL, Hisense, or Amazon’s own Fire TV brand, though, as many of last year’s flagship models are currently being sold. sold for hundreds of dollars less than their original list price.

Right now, there are a number of discounted 4K TVs to choose from, with a wide variety of prices, format configurations, and feature sets. Whether you want a secondary TV for the bedroom or a high-end OLED built for a cinema-like experience, we’ve picked out the best TV deals across a few common categories.

TCL 6 Series Mini LED

The TCL 6 Series R646 model has a Mini LED QLED panel with HDR10 Plus support and 4K gaming at 120 Hz via HDMI 2.1, as well as hands-free Google Assistant voice commands and the Google TV interface that offers all major streaming apps. It’s a good option if you’re looking for a balance between price and performance, and the 55-in model is currently on sale at Best Buy and Amazon for $599.99 ($50 off), which is the lowest price for the popular 6 Series model. Hisense U8H

The Hisense U8H is another great value for a reasonably priced Mini LED 4K TV. The TV can display some impressive peak brightness levels and offers up to 120 Hz for your gaming needs; it also supports HDMI 2.1 on two of its four ports. Moreover, it supports Google TV. All this normally starts at $1,099.99, but the 55-inch model is now available for $699.99 ($400 off the original MSRP) at Best Buy. Also, the 65-inch Hisense U8H sells for $998 at Amazon and Walmart and $999.99 at Best Buy.

While we haven’t officially reviewed the Hisense U8H, our own TV reviewer, Chris Welch, liked it enough to buy one for himself, and if that’s not a genuine recommendation I don’t know what is.

Hisense’s U8H Mini LED 4K TV can achieve some truly impressive levels of brightness and produce mesmerizing HDR. The TV also supports 4K 120Hz, Wi-Fi 6 and runs Google TV software.

LG UP7300PUC

The UP7300PUC from LG isn’t blessed with a memorable name, but the 75-inch 4K LED TV is great value for money. We haven’t personally tested this model, but the features and size are impressive at $599.99, the current price at Best Buy. It has two HDMI inputs (one of which is eARC), an optical audio port and an Ethernet port. It also comes with LG’s built-in webOS software, which gives you access to all major streaming apps and many others. It’s easy to find other 60Hz smart 4K TVs for sale, but the other impressive aspects of them, namely size and price, aren’t as common.

The best 4K TV deals for those on a budget

TCL 4 Series (Roku TV Model)

Like its predecessor, TCL’s latest 4 Series remains one of the more affordable options on the market. The 2022 model with Roku interface (the S455 variant) offers four HDMI ports, one of which supports eARC for an optional soundbar. At the same time, the LED TV will continue to support HDR10, all major streaming apps and a standard 60Hz refresh rate.

Best Buy has the 55-inch TCL 4-Series (55S455) for $279.99, a $40 discount from the regular price of $319.99. While the 4 Series may not have the most coveted specs or the highest quality LED panel in the world, it’s hard to deny that a solid 55-inch TV for under $300 is a great value.

Amazon Fire TV Omni QLED

Amazon’s latest version of the Fire TV Omni launched in late 2022 and we’re already seeing significant discounts. It debuted at $799.99 for the 65-inch model, but is currently selling for $549.99 at Best Buy and Amazon. We haven’t tested the new QLED model yet, but it seems to build on the last-gen model with a better design. It supports Dolby Vision IQ for HDR – allowing it to adjust itself to the amount of ambient light – along with the same hands-free Alexa benefits the previous model offered and local dimming for more realistic lighting in scenes. Amazon’s Fire TV Omni QLED has built-in microphones for Alexa commands, low input lag, and support for two-way video calls. It also offers access to Netflix, Prime Video, Disney Plus and most major streaming services.

The best deals on 4K TVs for the PS5 and Xbox Series X

Sony’s PlayStation 5 and Microsoft’s Xbox Series X can play 4K games with HDR at up to 120 frames per second. So, of course, if you don’t have a TV that takes full advantage of your console, it’s time to upgrade to one of the models below. Keep in mind that for the best experience you’ll want a TV that supports HDMI 2.1.

LG C2 OLEDs

If you are looking for an impressive TV, we recommend that you turn your attention to LG’s 2022 C2 fashion model. The 4K TV offers support for Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync variable refresh rate technology, along with a 120Hz refresh rate and low input lag. It also features a settings window called “Game Optimizer”, which conveniently brings together a host of game-oriented settings – refresh rate, latency, etc. – for faster access.

One of the best values ​​right now is the LG C2 48-inch model for $949.99 ($350 off MSRP) at Amazon and Best Buy (when added to your cart). LG’s QENG Mini LED TV

OLED prices aren’t for everyone. If you want something that still looks great, LG’s Class 83 Series QENG Mini LED lineup offers many of the same benefits for less. The Mini LED backlight provides better contrast, more brightness, dynamic HDR and improved color accuracy over LG’s previous LCD TVs. Crucially for gamers, they also have HDMI 2.1 ports with 120Hz support at 4K resolution.

The 65-inch model, which has webOS for built-in streaming apps, is currently discounted at $999.99 at Best Buy. This is $700 off the original price, which is quite a discount. However, if you have the space and budget to go even bigger, the 75-inch version costs $1,499.99 ($1,000 off) at Best Buy.
