The condition of 17-year-old sick elephant Noor Jehan continues to deteriorate, despite the efforts of the international animal welfare organization Four Paws. Geo news reported Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the zoo administration has banned non-technical personnel, including the media, from entering the zoo. Karachi Administrator Dr. Syed Saifur Rahman imposed a ban until the elephant’s condition improves as instructed by Four Paws.

The zoo is getting busy due to non-technical staff causing disruption to work and the ailing mammal is also getting upset, the administration said, citing Four Paws.

Four legs shared the latest update on the sick elephant Noor Jehan and said they continue to work with the team on the ground and do everything possible to ease her suffering.

“We are heartbroken to see that Noor Jehan’s health is still not improving, but please know that we continue to work with the team on the ground who are doing everything they can to alleviate her suffering,” said Four Paws.

Dr. Rahman recently formed a nine-member committee to take care of Karachi Zoo’s Noor Jehan.

The members of the committee submit their suggestions and recommendations regarding the well-being and well-being of the elephant to the caretaker for the treatment of the animal.
