It’s the best two words in sports: Game 7. The Sacramento Kings and Golden State Warriors face each other in a win-or-go home Game 7 on Sunday afternoon with a chance to take on the Los Angeles Lakers . Both teams have had their moments in this series and now we will have to see which side can muster enough to take the final victory. The Kings deliver a dominant performance in Game 6, but both teams will be equally motivated to keep their season alive.

In preparation for Game 7, here’s everything you need to know about this matchup.

Storylines

kings: After going 2-0 in the series and then losing the next three games to the Warriors, it looked like Sacramento was heading into Game 6. But credit to the Kings, they had a huge reaction on the road and headed back home to the state capital with a chance to win this series. The Kings dominated every aspect of Game 6 and managed to keep the Warriors under 100 points. That’s a tough feat when you’ve had two of the league’s best shooters ever on that team. But now the Kings will have to do it all over again, only this time they’ll have to do it in front of a boisterous Sacramento crowd. They’ve already shown this series that they deserve to be here, and there’s reason to believe they have what it takes to take down the defending champion.

warriors: It was an ugly shooting night for Golden State, one in which the team shot 37.2% from the field and 31.3% from depth. Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson came in for a combined 51 points, but it wasn’t enough to match the energy and dominance of the Kings. You can never rule out this Warriors team, but we’ve seen several times in this series where their defense struggled to contain Sacramento’s backcourt. If they let Malik Monk and De’Aaron Fox go again, it could be too much for the Dynastic Warriors to overcome.

Prediction

This was the most entertaining run in the first round, and as impressive as the Kings have been, I don’t think the Warriors, especially Jordan Poole, will shoot that badly in Game 7. The Kings have the momentum on their side of the last game, and they’ll have the crowd’s support, but it’s hard to bet against Curry and Golden State when they’ve proven time and time again that they can turn it on when they need to. The choice: warriors +1.5
