Every year on Eid ul Adha in Pakistan, people ensure that their sacrificial animals are protected from theft by keeping them within their homes.

Recently, a video that went viral showed a thief stealing a goat from a moving car in Quetta.

The animal was probably taken to a Maweshi Mandi or someone bought it and brought it to their house.

CCTV footage showed how a man got into the moving car and stole the goat. He then jumps and takes the sacrificial animal in his arms.

The man then gets on a motorcycle with an accomplice and they both escape. This incident took place on the city’s Sariab Road.

Incidents like this are common in Pakistan as thieves steal the animals and later sell them. As the country is affected by high inflation, people find it very difficult to buy an animal to sacrifice on Eid ul Adha.

In another incident, two thieves who stole a sacrificial goat died after their motorcycle collided with a truck. This happened in Kot Addu in Punjab.

According to police, both thieves were on the run after stealing the animal and their bicycle went out of control leading to their deaths.
