There are shows.” In it, professionals from the industry talk about their experiences, life and career. Directed by Cynthia Wade, it is a series about the community of mermaids and underwater artists.

“At its core, mermaid is a dangerous art,” says one pro. “I’ve literally waited 15 years for this moment,” another adds, while a third reveals, “This is literally my wildest dream.” The trailer ends with a voiceover saying, “Anyone can be a mermaid, you just have to believe it.” The docuseries chronicles the lives and struggles of the performers whose job it is to entertain the audience.
